Government Corruption in the U.S.

Governmental corruption in the United States is at an all time high while the prosecution for these criminal violations are at an all time low.

The United States Department Of JUstice is saddled with the responsibility of prosecuting for these criminal violations.

Howwever it is impossible for them to do their job when any adminstration can control the efforts of the Department Of Justice.

The appontment of the U.S. Attorney General of the United States is one that tends to reflect the opinions of the current adminstration no matter who it may be at the time.

This prevents a uniform effort on the part of the USAG to effectively prosecute civil rights violations as well as color of law violations.

We spend more money prosecuting illegal aliens than we do Corrupt officials and this speaks very badly of our ability to uniformly apply the laws and constitution of the United States.

The most obvious question is, what do we do about it?

My personal opinion is that we convince our congressman that it is time that we the people elect our Attorney General. This puts the will of the people in office rather than the will of a politician.

If politicians are corrupt and I have little doubt that anyone has any doubt that some are, then how can we expect those who find their way into a high office to enforce our laws justly?

You speak great truth.
And yes, the bi-partisan system that we use has been out dated for years, along with the electoral college and may other functions of our government.

Taxation has been way over abused and the taking by the government is resulting in mass waste in spending.

We throw away enough money to feed every family in this country. We send enough to other countries to buy every family in America a house.

Amazing that Americans have to struggle to make ends meet while billions of our tax dollars go falteringly away as though they were simply never ending in their source.

Sorry I have been absent here for a few days, I have been populating the veteransissues.org web site. Hopefully it will be up and running soon as well.

When someone holds there hand out in need, they shall receive, when someone holds there hand out in greed, they shall receive. The man in need will never fill his hand for greed has stolen from him. Our elected officials have a duty to be responsible with the power they are loaned. They owe it to those who need it the most, and to those who are taxed to be good stewards of that gift. Not all americans are taxed and I am OK with that, I have accepted the fact that not all americans have been afforded with good health of body and mind. But I have not accepted that MY government passes out money to those who dont deserve, need, nor appreciate the fact that the government has no way to produce income other than taxes. That money comes from me, and others who have worked for it. Why should I pay for those who know that if they do not work they will not go hungry, or worry about where they will sleep. Not only are those people putting themselves in the hands of a failed social program, but they are no longer master of their own destiney. When we give our lives and our childrens lives over to the will of strangers, we gamble away our future. The only way to have a happy and prosperous life is to work for it, thru blood, sweat, and tears. It can not be given. Nor taken from another. Our so called leaders shout from the pulpit that they can save us, bring a new future full of hope. Well what would you do if your child lied to you? Would you punish that child? What if every word spoken was a lie or deception. That is what it means to be a politician now days. Should we lay and wait for change or MAKE change? I know that you already know the answers, but why do we not punish our leaders that choose to betray us every breath of the day? I personaly will not stand for it any longer. I have decided to let my voice be heard, and my thoughts be seen. I will right every congressman and senator letters demanding to do away with the PARTY SYSTEM. :democrats:republicans: It does notthing but seperate our people and our leaders. We need to come together as Americans and work together. It will end most of the problems we face today. And it will enable us to take some of the power we once controled. We are responsible for the wrong actions that our goverment makes, by the simple act of not acting. Let us come together in the greatest battle of freedom the world has ever known, and battle our own inaction.
